From the minute you walk in you are greeted by welcoming, courteous, helpful staff. Loved the hot towel at front desk available on arrival to clean your hands. Our room was large, modern, quiet and clean. We had an incredible view. The bed and pillows incredibly comfortable. Black out curtains and windows that opened were appreciated. Large clean and modern bathroom and great shower. Lots of hot water. House keeping kept our room clean and were very discreet leaving delicious chocolates everynight on our pillow. Every request we had was graciously accommodated. The breakfast was included. Very impressed with freshness and selection. You could order custom prepared dishes from the kitchen. The service, staff were welcoming, discreet but yet very attentive. My friend who is celiac ( gluten intolerant) was pleasantly pleased with the food options. They even had gluten free croissants and other baked goods. On our last night we ate at the hotel restaurant and had we known how delectable the food was we would have eaten more than once. Again a great experience on all parts. We were giving a complimentary bottle of wine to accompany our meal. The hotel is perfectly located. Metro is across the street. Many sights within walking distance. We felt very safe. I cannot emphasize enough how professional and attentive the staff was at 138 Libertade. I highly recommend this hotel when visiting Lisbon. Thank you to the staff at 138 Libertade for a memorable stay!

Such a lovely experience! We stayed for 3 nights in a very big and comfortable room. I actually couldn't believe its size as I am familiar with hotel room sizes in Lisbon and this was huge! The beds are a little hard, but this is a European standard in my experience. We also had a terrace with a nice view, if it had been summer, we would have spent a good deal of time enjoying it. The location is perfect, right on a main street with shops, restaurants and bars. They offer valet parking, which is a heaven-send as you do not need a car if you are staying in this hotel. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, everything was good (except the eggs were a little 'odd' and runny the first morning). They even offered the option of ordering from a small menu, the avocado toast and soft boiled eggs were yummy. We had sushi the first night and it was so good, we returned for more rolls the night before we left. There is nice piano music in the restaurant around dinner time, which flows into the lobby; and the best part of everything?? My favorite bottle of sparkling wine by Dona Ermelinda just waiting in a bucket of ice for you to enjoy in the lobby. The staff was great - especially Miguel. He helped us find the cable we needed to stream Netflix from our laptop (one minus, they don't offer smart TVs, which seems odd for a hotel of this caliber...) and he was always friendly and funny. We are returning to Lisbon next month and we plan on staying here again.

The included breakfast was a very nice selection of hot and cold options ranging from eggs to fresh fruit. The room was nicely sized so that we could access our large checked luggage, carry-ons, and still had plenty of space to get around. The bed was comfy, as were the pillows. The bathroom was quite large as well. The location is great as it is only 2 blocks from the Hard Rock Cafe where many of the city tours have designated as their pick-up/drop-off location. There are several restaurants all around the area within 5-15 minutes walking. The staff were very friendly and professional.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was very good, a great selection and variety of foods available. The hotel has a lovely courtyard garden which was ideal for breakfast. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was excellent, someone in the kitchen really knows how to cook food! One of the best things about this hotel is the staff, they really go the extra mile to make the guests feel welcome.

We have stayed at the hotel two times, and we rate the whole stay 10/10. Perfect location. The staff was very service minded. Very good breakfast. The food at the hotel is of high quality. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel. Love the sushi at the hotel. So fresh, so good and so nicely made. We had sushi tasting menu and it was beyond all expectations. If you have not tried the sushi menu, you need to try it because it is so worth it. We will be back soon.
